Product works great, and a good deal compared to $100-options at Brookstone, etc. Product is sold by Amazon, but fulfilled by a partner firm. Received too many emails on the status, and my request to have the product shipped to an alternate location from billing was not honored -- so it sat on my front steps for two weeks while on vacation.

This mirror is amazingly cheap and low quality. It feels cheap because it is entirely made of plastic, even the mirror. The clock loses a few minutes per month, so I am constantly reseting it. One of the LEDs failed after a month which is fine with me because when the mirror is placed so that I can see my face well, they are shining directly into my eyes. As some other users have said, the mirror is fogless for a week or so. There is a warning in the instructions that tells you not to clean it with glass cleaner as it will ruin the fogless coating. What they don't tell you is that you cannot clean the thing, period. The plastic is very soft and therefore scratched by anything. The included KFC quality wetnap is completely ineffective against hard water spots, and that is the only thing recommended for cleaning. I tried to clean it with the softest cloths and sponges that I could find, all of which scratched it beyond repair and did not remove the spots. In short, you pay $40 for a cracker jack qual...

The lighting on this mirror is insufficient even on the brightest setting. It has four small light bulbs, two blue and two white. The older lighted makeup mirrors used two elongated fluorescent bulbs which provided much brighter light. I thought it was a bargain at 21.99, but then I had to buy a desk lamp to place next to it to supplement the lighting, so it turned out to be no bargain after all. The style, the mirrors, and the magnification are good... but I consider the lighting the most important feature of a lighted make up mirror. So to me, it is a disappointment.

Don't let the good doc scare you off. His wife may have gotten a lemon, but I've used mine daily for several months now, even dropped it once, and it has performed beautifully. Good make-up mirror at a great price!
